BATTERY IS INCLUDED WITH THIS ITEM
You must use a Solid State Single Phase Voltage Regulator like the BAJA DESIGNS 12203. The harness is pre-terminated to accept the included connector for the regulator of your choice.
Standard factory-style regulators will not work because they rely on a chassis ground to dump excess AC voltage. A full-wave unit forces all AC electricity from your floated stator through an internal diode bridge, cleanly converting it to DC before it reaches your battery terminals.

This setup will fit stock banshee harnesses and remove all the headaches from adding all the wiring to go to a DC set up. The included battery fits under the seat as seen in the picture. The advantages of this setup are as follows.
Your battery is separate, you can easily change it out at any time should it go bad.
You can upgrade battery at a later time if you desire more reserve capacity.
Other than loosing your stock tool set (if you have it) this takes up no extra space.
If you want to use a Hide-a-key setup from JDS or similar you can. Your tank bolts remain free.
Bolt your new regulator in place of the stock one
Set battery in tool box
Lay harness along your stock harness
Plug in voltage regulator
Plug your 2 separate stator wires into the yellow/white wires
Plug the remaining 2 wires into your harness... your all set!
